Read Why Your Family Should Be A Forrestal Family!
Hi! We are the Castor family - Cameron, Hannah, and Avery. We’ve been with Forrestal since May. Avery is currently in the Reindeer classroom and loving it! We have loved all the teachers Avery has had, and she is becoming more outgoing every day! Avery enjoys story time, art, and spending time with her new friends on the playground! We are the Deveney family! Matt, Jacklyn, Lina, and Louie (our pup!). Lina is in the Baby Bears room! We became part of the Forrestal Family in May of 2023, and it was the best decision for us! In the last 6 months, we have been amazed at how much Lina has learned and developed and we have our beloved teachers to thank for that! It’s also such a joy watching Lina play with her many new bear friends during class and we are excited to watch them grow up together! Lina loves to laugh, play with toys, read books, play peek-a-boo, feed her puppy, and most recently crawl… EVERYWHERE. Dad works in Construction Sales and Mom works in Human Resources. During our free time, we explore the Charlotte and Huntersville area(s) for new things to do as a family. We also really enjoy playdates with Lina’s cousins, the pool, traveling, and family visitors. To the Teachers and Administrative Staff, we cannot thank you enough for making us feel welcome, and for taking such wonderful care of our Lina Bean. We are the Bullard family - Elizabeth, Ethan, Hazel, Hadley, and Henry. Hazel is in 1st grade at Bradford Prep, Hadley (age 2) is in the Mice room, and Henry (10 months) is in the Bears room. Hadley and Henry started coming to Forrestal this summer, and they have enjoyed it so much! Hadley started in the Turtle room. She loves art, playing dress-up, puzzles, and playing with all her friends at Forrestal. She is starting to talk so much more recently, and it has been so cool to see how much she's learned already since beginning at Forrestal! She loves that she gets to go to school with her little brother! Henry "Danger" loves crawling all over the place, playing with all the toys, and trying all the new foods. Big sister Hazel loves playing with her bearded dragon (Freckles), doing crafts, and playing outside. We are so thankful for our Forrestal family! Hello Forrestal Families! We are the Ventimiglia family. We have a son Christopher (Kit) who is 4 and in the Reindeer room and a daughter Charlotte (will be 1 in two weeks!) who hasn't started school yet but is very jealous of Kit getting to have a backpack and take a stuffy to school with him. Our family moved back from spending two years in England in early 2023 and Kit started at Forrestal in July 2023. We drive to Huntersville from Denver daily and have been so pleased by the consistency in staff, routines, and food at Forrestal. Kit loves swimming lessons and is looking forward to the return of water days at school. He is also determined to play hockey now which we find completely unexpected since although we both grew up in Michigan, we are not sure that he has ever seen a hockey game. Christa (Kit's mom) is in operations and Charles (Kit's dad) is an engineer for a mining and tunneling electronics company based in Huntersville. Hi We are the Anderson’s. We have been at Forrestal since summer 2023. We love the teachers and community that we have found at Forrestal. Hey Forrestal Family! We are the Richards Family! Matt, Kristen, Haley (3.5), and Rylan (almost 2). Dad is in Medical Sales and is from California. Mom is in Ed Tech and from Illinois. We joined Forrestal back in June of 2023 when Haley was in Mice and Rylan was crawling around Bunnies. Since then, Haley has moved up to Raccoons and is thriving with her friends and classmates. Haley enjoys books, telling stories, dressing up as a Princess, and hugging. Baby Sis "Ry Ry", aka Rylan, has learned to use those little legs and now sprints around the Turtles classroom. Rylan enjoys giggling, learning new words, reading books, laying on cushions, and trying to do everything big sis is doing. They both sure know how to keep us on our toes! The Richards Family enjoys hearing Haley's stories from her day over dinner each evening and we can't wait until Rylan can join in too. Our girls continue surprising us with new skills, words, and ideas each day and we look forward to seeing them continue to grow. -Richards Family 2024
We're the Williams Family and we are so excited to be family of the week! We met in Winston-Salem in 2016 and moved to Charlotte in 2017. After 3 years in South End, we moved to Huntersville in 2019, our child arrived in October of 2020. She started in the Birds room at Forrestal in March 2021 and soon became known to all at Forrestal as "Cheeks" thanks to Ms. Zida. Cheeks has loved every classroom and is currently enjoying her time in the Raccoons class with Ms. B and Ms. Dayna. We are the Sawdon family! We’ve been at Forrestal Academy since August 2023. Hampton (who is about to be 5) is in the Super Squirrels room! We love our Forrestal family and are so happy to be here! Our oldest is turning three this fall, around the time we anticipate the arrival of our second child will join Forrestal early next year. Our oldest has been enrolled with Forrestal since she was about three months old and is currently in the Mice room. She loves all her teachers and talks about her school friends and their adventures every day. Our family loves to explore things to do around Charlotte, find new spots with great food, and when the weather is nice you can almost always find us doing an activity at the lake, pool, or beach- we are water lovers! Isla joins in every experience with a positive attitude and loves to read books, eat sushi, dance, swim, and play with her dog, Scout. We have loved having Forrestal as a safe, reliable place for our child to learn and grow and take comfort knowing that she is beyond thrilled to be there every day. -Miller Family 2023
We are The Guy family! Morgan, Ame, Liam (8), and Paige (4). Liam is in second grade at Grand Oak Elementary and Paige is in the Squirrels room at Forrestal. Paige started at Forrestal in 2021 as a Fox and is now loving being a “big kid.” She has enjoyed making new friends at Forrestal these past two years and we have enjoyed getting to know their families as well! Friends made, at such a young age, can really turn into lifelong relationships and we’re so grateful for that! The teachers Paige has had the privilege to learn from, have been such a blessing. Forrestal Academy was an answer to our prayers when we needed full-time childcare. Our 5-year-old who is ready to start kindergarten this fall. She loves her teachers and has made many friends. Her favorite part of class is the daily jobs and chapter book time. She is also a new big sister and loves telling everyone she sees about it! Our newest addition to the family (5 months old). She started at Forrestal in May of this year in the Baby Bears class. She loves her teachers and making friends. Her teachers have nicknamed her Smiley, which brings even more smiles. Jason is originally from Massachusetts and loves music, scotch, and being a girl dad. He works in technology in the banking industry. April is originally from the Midwest and enjoys reality TV, live music, and books. She works in control/risk in banking. As a family, we love going to sporting events and spending time with friends. In the fall, you can most likely find us at the Charlotte football games (GO NINERS!). Isla keeps us on our toes with her passions for dance, gymnastics, and swimming. Kiley loves to smile, talk up a storm, and come into her own personality. Her favorite person is her big sister. Being at Forrestal allows us to have peace of mind knowing that our girls are in a loving environment that is safe and fun. We are so very thankful for all our daughter’s teachers as she has learned so much, quickly. Our boy started with the baby birds and bears, and as a baby was a contact napper and nursed to sleep, he had never taken a bottle before he started here. When they put him down for his nap in the crib, he didn't sleep, so when that didn't work his teachers rocked him till he fell asleep. Forrestal Academy has been such a blessing for our family. Our daughter will be entering Kindergarten in the fall and upon getting her Kindergarten paperwork, we had it confirmed just how great Forrestal is. Our daughter can do all of the things listed (and more) in the skills section of her paperwork for what we should be working with her as she enters Kindergarten. It reminded us what a quality learning center Forrestal Academy is. We’ve been at Forrestal since our oldest, was 2 years old. It’s hard to believe he is now heading into 1st grade. He enjoyed his time at Forrestal so much that he was thrilled to spend a few weeks at Forrestal Summer Camp with Ms. Amy. He has Forrestal friends that we’ve continued to keep in touch with, which is really special. He is also now somewhat of a little celebrity with the Squirrels and Reindeers kids as the older brother. Our youngest is in the Squirrels and started at Forrestal at 2.5 years old. He loves going to school every day which is such a relief as a parent. He loves socializing with all his best friends and playing soccer games during outside time. His goal is to learn all he can so he can join big brother at “big school” soon! When we’re not enjoying Forrestal you can find us at our cabin in the mountains, at the beach, or in our backyard enjoying a fire (hello Fall). -McMahon Family 2023
Overall a great school. Forrestal Academy is a clean, large facility with great outdoor play areas and a splash pad!! They have structured learning and free play. They do have some stricter rules, but our family prefers that for better safety and structure. I would recommend checking them out! -Haley 2022

Best PreSchool! It is the best preschool, hands down. Staff is amazing; teachers are so nice and well prepared; food is good quality (all natural, they have a chef and prepare everything there, EVERYTHING!); curriculum is amazing, kids are really engaged and learning every day; outside area is very well maintained and so good; they have cameras on every classroom and outside area... Hello, we are the Gates family! Our little one is a bundle of joy and energy. She loves to make people laugh, she loves to dance, and she loves the water - splash pad, pool or puddle. She plays hide-and-go-seek with her dog Rocko and loves sharing her food with him. Mom, Katie, is a Senior Designer at Wray Ward and dad, Max, is VP of Product Development at West Coast Casual. We started at Forrestal in 2022 as a Baby Bird and is now in the Bunnies room. She has adored all of her teachers, and we love that they make her feel at ease. It has been so fun watching her make friends and develop her personality, and we always love seeing the crafts she brings home. Our oldest son began at Forrestal in the fall of 2017. He has progressed through the ranks per say and will begin Kindergarten in the fall. Our youngest son began care at the age of 1 and now dances around in the Mice classroom. Admin Team, They are a blessing and have worked with us around many obstacles. We can not thank them enough for all the support and love throughout our boys tenure at Forrestal Academy. The Teachers, We could not have hand picked care takers for Our boys any better. We are thankful and blessed how they have grown in the classrooms considering the pouring love they all have shown them both and our family. Highly Recommended! My daughter is currently in the older two year old class. She enjoys going (which says a lot in itself) and I feel comfortable with dropping her off. The school also has cameras for the classroom and playground which gives me an extra piece of mind. The staff is responsive and helpful, and they have an in-house chef who makes nutritious meals for the kids daily. Overall we are really happy at Forrestal and plan to stay until my daughter goes to kindergarten.
